The skip is made up of three parts: the body, the shaft and the carriage. -- the effective volume of the general skip car can be taken as 0.7~0.8 of its geometric volume, the higher value for large blast furnace and the lower value for small blast furnace.
When the shape and geometric size of the skip car are fixed, its effective volume is related to the inclination Angle of the running track in the skip car pit, the position and opening size of the coke and ore funnel gate.
The inner wall of the skip car is equipped with wear-resisting lining board made of manganese steel or white cast iron. In order to smooth discharge and facilitate replacement, the lining board is connected with the car body with countersunk screw. The junction Angle formed by the lining plate is rounded to prevent the build-up of plug in the junction.
The rear wheel of the skip car has two treads with the rim between the two treads. When the skip car walks on the linear guide rail on the inclined bridge, the inner tread of the rear wheel is in contact with the guide rail, and when it enters the unloading curve guide rail on the top of the furnace, the outer tread of the rear wheel is in contact with the auxiliary guide rail of the unloading guide rail, while the inner tread is not in contact with the guide rail.
The skip winch of large and medium blast furnaces is driven by direct current motor. When the winch is just started, the heavy hopper in the hopper pit starts to rise, and the empty hopper starts to drop from the limit position of the unloading track on the top of the furnace. In order to prevent slack of the steel rope of the empty skip car, the acceleration of the steel rope winding out of the drum should not exceed the steel rope acceleration that can be produced when the empty skip car returns, so the acceleration should be small, generally 1= -0.2m ~0.4m/s2. In t2, in order to transition to the maximum speed in a relatively short time, the acceleration should be larger, generally a2=0.4 ~ 0.8m/s2, but the steel rope speed should not exceed 1.5~l.6m/s when the empty skip car leaves the unloading curved track. In t3 period, the skip car runs at the maximum speed, and the large blast furnace - normally takes 3~4m/s.
In the t4 period, it is the deceleration of the heavy material truck before it enters the unloading guide rail, generally taking a4=(0.4~.8)m/s2, and the traveling speed of the material truck in the unloading guide rail area is generally taking 1.0m/S. The second deceleration is the winding machine stopping deceleration in the period of t6, generally a6=a4.
